You must have the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package installed to use this program. You can find it at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5 Once you download and install this package, any other software written for .NET that you may install in the future will be able to use it. ---- This software is targeted at one specific purpose: reviewing the songs in MP3 files, downloading the lyrics, and enabling the user to accept or reject the files based on their lyrics. The intent is for use as a parental review tool. This is not designed to compete in any way with the many excellent MP3 tag editors that are available and offers no significant features in this area. We provide a very small pre-populated "black list". Everyone has different standards, and the software enables you to populate its "black list" with whatever you feel is appropriate. In addition to entering simple words or phrases, you can enter Regular Expressions (the .NET Framework 2.0 engine is used) for more complex pattern searches. NOTE: All of the useful features are disabled by default. You may wish to enable them on the Options tab one at a time as you become more comfortable with the software.NOTE: All of the useful features are disabled by default. There is a standard format for this information, called ID3 Tags. Many MP3 files contain the name of the artist and song title in these tags. This is generally how software like Windows Media Player can display this information when a file is playing. If such information is present in an ID3 version 2.3 tag, you will not need to type it in. MP3 LyricReview uses the artist and title to search the internet for the song lyrics. If it finds the lyrics, it stores them in the MP3 file as part of the ID3 tag. A benefit from your child’s point of view is that the files you have reviewed will contain the song lyrics.
